AVIONICS TECHNICIAN

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc., located in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician.  Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in General Aviation Avionics and possess excellent troubleshooting skills in modern turbine powered aircraft.  Responsibilities include installation and testing of aircraft electronic equipment and systems.  Regular duties consist of fabrication, termination and testing of avionics system wiring harnesses, and the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels.  Technicians must have a good understanding of and be able to read wiring diagrams and other installation technical data.  Pitot/static experience preferred.  Airframe & Power Plant Certificate required.  Excellent computer skills are also required.  Excellent compensation and benefit package.  Please e-mail resume to careers@atlasaircraftcenter.com.

Advanced Electronics/Avionics Faculty Member

Redstone College is seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill a position as an Avionics Instructor.

The three main areas of responsibility are: teach avionics and advanced electronics skills to adult students from diverse backgrounds;  maintain lab and avionics test equipment;
and maintain and develop curriculum to meet high standards in an ever-changing world of the aviation industry.
 
Successful applicants will meet the following REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years experience working aircraft avionics.
  • FCC License. May substitute an EE degree or EET degree.
  • Know common avionics test equipment.
  • Graduated from a formal electronics school, civilian or military.
  • Must work well with others and have an ability to work with a variety of students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
  • Must have a positive attitude and enjoy teaching others.

 Successful applicants will also have one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Avionics bench repair experience.
  • Avionics line troubleshooting experience.
  • Electronics/avionics wiring/install experience.
  • Previous teaching, tutoring, training/teaching experience a huge plus.
  • Computer literacy (common MS programs).
  • Public speaking or group presentation experience. 
    Position is full-time, five days a week. Salary requirements are depending on experience and will be discussed upon offer of employment.
